Sunday Shopping Spree

I am IMPATIENTLY waiting until I will be able to get back into my classroom. In the meantime, I am trying to do everything else that I can to get ready for B2S, which of course means B2S shopping.

My Dollar Tree Gift Card from the Wiggin's World Giveaway arrived yesterday and it was burning a hole in my pocket. The perfect excuse to head out on a B2S Shopping Spree...

Here's where I went: Dollar Tree, Joann's, Staples

Here's what I got and how I plan to use it...

I got these Dry-Erase Locker Wallpaper pages at the Dollar Store to stick to my white board. I added labels and this is where I plan to record the strategies, skills, and concepts that we will be focusing on each week.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
These Wall Stickers from the Dollar Tree will be used to decorate my not-so-attractive filing cabinets and cupboards.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
This organizer came from the Dollar Tree and the Clips, Magnets, and Pushpins were $1.50 each at Joann's. I plan to keep this at my desk in the front of the room where I conference and work with students. I added scrapbook paper and here's how it turned out:

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Over at Staples, packs of pencils, highlighters, and index cards were a Penny-a-Piece!!! Teachers may get up to 25 of each.
However, to get these great One-Cent Deals, you need to spend at least $5.00. So, I got this cute, little 4GB travel drive which I needed anyway for $5.99! {Great Deal!!!}

My grand total for 3 stores {and after using my Dollar Tree gift card} = $14.46 for everything you see here. I think I did pretty well!!!!

Visit Create-Share-Inspire to see how I used these Accent Gems from the Dollar Tree and Magnets from Joann's ($1.29 a piece):

I'd love to hear about any great B2S shopping deals you've found!!!

  3. Was looking for something to post my homework on so I don't have to use my board (with a mimio a lot of my board is taken and I need the other parts to make notes). I love the locker message board things, and put them on my bulletin board. Thanks for the ideas!!!!

  6. Wow! I love to read about sales and what everyone is getting for their classrooms! I scored recently at Target. All of their summer stuff was 75% off and I got a big plastic tub with rope handles for $1.49! The color even matches my classroom! I am going to use it to transport our library books back to the library.

  7. Thank you SO much for posting your Sunday deals! My local Staples only had their folders for a penny this week but they price matched the note cards, highlighters and pencils (thanks to your heads up)!

  9. I feel like I need to go out and replicate your spree! I definitely need to head to Staples. I know just what you mean about chomping at the bit to get in the classroom. My whole room is packed up so that I can get carpet, and I have to wait until after next week to get in and unpack it all!
